The Grade 5-6 Boys Basketball team made up of Oliver D, Ryan, Oliver R, Nash, Tobias, Hayden, Lucas, Johnty and Brooklyn went to Launceston on the 4^th and 5^th of December to represent Burnie Primary School at the State Basketball Championships.

We played two games on the Saturday winning both which put us into the Semi Final – this was a great game unfortunately we lost by three points which meant we were to play off for third and fourth – we won this game against Cambridge which meant we finished third in the whole state which is an awesome achievement.

We would like to thank Tim (coach) and Sarah (manager) Kinch for all their help during the season, we have learnt lots and have had a great time. Also thank you to all of our parent for getting us to all the games during the three tournaments throughout the year.
