During last term the Grade 6 Students inquired about the meaning of NAIDOC Week and investigated the story of Vincent Lingiari and the Gurindji Walk Off.  Students completed a set of tasks and were required to communicate their understandings to their peers.  As an extension to the investigation, students researched the song From Little Things Big Things Grow which was written by Paul Kelly and tells the story of Vincent and the Walkoff.  The final learning activity required the students to communicate their understandings of NAIDOC week through discussing the 2022 NAIDOC Poster and then creating a mini poster of their own.  We even had a chance to work collaboratively with Mr Starick and sing From Little Things Big Things Grow.
