Lily Marshall 4J Tennis Report

The Best Day EVER!

Saturday morning at 5:00 me and my mum got in the car and we went to get breakfast at McDonalds. We got about 30mins in me and mum went to a shop to get snacks and more petrol. When mum came back she had a lot of things like chips and chocolate. We got about half way there and I was almost asleep but I saw the most beautiful thing in the world it was the sun rise and it was the prettiest of colours.

When we got in Hobart we went straight to the tennis courts and warmed up with my friend Britta and we had a hit until we were ready and then we started playing and warming up. When we got ready to start we had to get into groups with our team I was in the North West team and we had to play against the South and North.

When we did our warm up we had to do soccer,  girls vs boys, and the boys won just by 2 points then we rotated around clock wise, then we had to do some shots and get all of them in or you got eliminated and I got all of them in and keep my motor running. We also had to play kick ball and I got a really good score I got 1st place for the girls and last but not least we had to play a game of hocky.

After training we had to play a Match against the other teams. I had to play a game of doubles against girls called Asher and Zoler and they won 4-3 4-2 4-3 it was a very good game. After the doubles I played a singles against Asher and she won 6-2 6-0 6-1. At the end of the day we went rock climbing at a very big place, I went through the hardest little tunnel and it was called number 8. After we went up to the rock climbing and I went up it like 8 times because I was not tired. On our way back to tennis camp I got a little card and it was the movement award. Mum and I were going out for tea with my best friend Britta and we had Hogs Breath for tea. I had calamari for tea with a nice sours. We got in the car to go home but Britta’s dad said we could go to the Wharf for ice cream.

When I finished my ice cream we went back to the hotel and had a really big sleep because I had to get up at 7:00 in the morning to have breakfast. The next day at tennis it was the last day and I played two doubles then one mixed doubles I lost most of the games, but that did not matter to me because I just kept on trying and trying.

It was time to see who won and who got the two special trophies. The south won just and we came 2nd. And now it was down to the two people that got the special trophies, he called out this person has improved so much since the last time I saw her, Lily Marshall please come out I was so happy I could not stop smiling it was amazing and I went nuts!!!
