Congratulations Taya Munday

Taya Munday has been selected for the third consecutive year to represent Tasmania in the Primary School Sport Australia Track and Field Championships. Not only has Taya qualified, she has also been selected as Captain of this team. What a great honour and well deserved Taya.

The Primary School Sport Australia Track and Field Championships are being held in Darwin from the 18^th to the 23^rd of September.

Taya will be competing in the Discus 750g and her favourite event the Shot Put 3kg.  Whilst Taya has a high level of talent in these field events she also trains very hard.  A normal week for Taya would see her training twice for a total of two and a half hours.  Taya has been training for this for over three years.  So a combination of talent and hard work has enabled Taya to reach this level of ability.  Taya is also doubling up as a coach for several members of the team.
