Last Wednesday,  13th of November Grade 2s went to K-mart to sing at the opening of the K-mart Wishing Tree Appeal.  The Wishing Tree is about kids that don't get any presents. You can donate presents to others and make a difference to homeless people and those who don't have enough spare money to buy Christmas presents.

We sang Christmas songs for half an hour. We got cake and a gift bag. My favourite part was the singing and my favourite song was "Nuttin for Christmas". This is the chorus:

"Oh I'm getting nuttin for Christmas,

Mummy and daddy are mad

I'm getting nuttin for Christmas

Cos I ain't been nuttin but bad."

We learnt 23 songs and only sang 19.
