Entries are now being accepted for the Mathematical Association of Tasmania Problem Solving competition. This challenging competition is for students in Years 5 & 6. Students have one hour to answer 8 questions with full marks awarded for providing some working out and clear explanations.

An example from the 2018 paper:

One cup of coffee and three doughnuts cost $4.80 and two cups of coffee and two doughnuts cost $6.40. What is the price of a cup of coffee?

The Australian Mathematics Competition for grades 3-6 will be held on the 30^th July 2020. Entries open in term two.
