Congratulations to Emara Oates, Nash Hammond and Joshua Butcher for their fantastic results in the field events sections of this year’s NWPSSA Athletic Carnival.

Nash won the Grade 4 boys' long jump event. Nash has been practising the long jump at Little Athletics, his personal best is 4.05m. Nash produced some terrific jumps on the day and is already looking forward to the event in 2021.

Emara won the Grade 5 girls' shotput event. Emara has been competing in this event in Little Athletics since U/7. Emara finds this event fun and really enjoys practising with mum. “Training is how you get better” said Emara and I certainly agree.

Joshua was second in the Grade 5 boy’s shotput. Joshua had never competed in this event before.  His only prior experience was receiving some excellent coaching from Emara in PE the day before. Joshua really enjoyed the experience and is keen to do it again.
