Principal's Report
Congratulations to the students who represented Burnie Primary at the inter-school Cross Country in Ulverstone last week. Not only did we win the Division A schools section, but all students upheld our school Expectation of Best Effort and our School Value, Respect. All students should feel extremely proud! Results and pictures are further on in the newsletter.
Grade 5/6 Toilet Make-Over
The SRC and Bunnings have been working together on a project to make toilets a safe space for students to go, both mentally and emotionally. The SRC recognised that toilets are a place that people may go to when they are feeling upset or worried and wanted to put inspirational words and quotes to help support their peers. We have the first stage completed, a repaint! Stay tuned for more pictures when the next stage is complete. A huge thank you to Michelle, Mickey and Lee from Bunnings Burnie and Devonport for painting our toilets!

Sickness
It is that time of year again when coughs, colds and sore throats are rampant. If your child is sick, we ask that you keep them home until their symptoms are gone. If you are unsure if they are ready to return, please contact the office.
The office needs to be contacted each day your child is absent and if your child will be away for 3 or more days, we ask that you provide a doctors certificate or statutory declaration.
