The SRC are continuing their theme of Mental Health for 2021.  We have decided that we are going to create awareness around multiculturalism. Often people from other cultures can be subject to bullying and racism. The SRC believe that if we create awareness and understanding of people from different cultures this could combat bullying and racism.

To create more awareness and understanding the SRC would like to conduct a Poetry Competition in which students can write a poem in the tradition/style of a different culture.

The Prep students will be working collaboratively to create their multicultural poems.

The Grade one students will be exploring some stories, songs and poems from different cultures within their classroom community.

Grade 2 - Grade 6 will be working independently on their poems.

Also, the members of the SRC will be/have been visiting classrooms and sharing stories from different cultures.

The closing date for the poems will be Friday 23 July.
