The AMC is an engaging 30-problem competition that demonstrates the importance and relevance of mathematics in students’ everyday lives; it is open to students in years 3 to 12. The competition is fully online and will be completed at school between Wednesday 4 August and Friday 6 August 2021 with Miss Alanna Smith or Miss Georgette Moore.

The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) has 25 multiple-choice questions and five questions that need whole number answers. Students may attempt as many questions as they wish. The earlier problems may use more familiar mathematics while the later problems are more difficult and intended to challenge, needing more sophisticated problem-solving skills.

If your child wishes to participate please let Mrs Ann Elliott in the front office know by the end of Term 2.  The cost will be $4 per student payable at the School Office or over the phone via Eftpos.
